ABC Company is a small but growing CPA firm. We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. We offer a fun and friendly, fast-paced, work environment. We believe that communication is key.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare complex individual and business tax returns
• Provide first line review of tax returns prepared by Tax Staff members; review for preparation accuracy and completeness
• Tax research on various issues
• Provide constructive feedback both verbally and in writing to Tax Staff in order to improve accuracy, consistency and depth of understanding, where appropriate
• Communicate effectively with team members on the status of pending returns; act as an effective liaison between the tax preparation and final review steps of the process; manage workflow to help reduce bottlenecks
• Communicate effectively with clients to troubleshoot missing or incomplete tax items
• Manage positive client relationships
• Demonstrate good navigational skills within tax specific compliance and planning software (e.g., software x and software z), generic software (e.g., Microsoft Office applications), and internet based tax research tools.
• Maintain a professional and organized office environment

Professional Qualifications

• Must be a currently licensed CPA
• Minimum six years’ prior experience in a CPA firm performing Senior or higher level tax review work required;
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual, trust and entity tax returns is required
• Proficient at using tax software, as well as the Microsoft Office
• Must have strong experience with tax research tools

• Ability to manage heavy workloads, many on a time sensitive basis, as well as interact with a tight-knit team of firm professionals
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to deliver accurate documentation and task completion
• Possesses good judgment, initiative and decision-making skills; anticipates problems, determines the appropriate level of response and acts accordingly

Compensation

– Competitive pay, $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 DOE plus bonus eligibility
– Two Weeks Paid Vacation
– 10 Holidays
– Opportunity to participate in Firm Retirement Plan after one year
– Eligible for company sponsored Health, dental and vision benefits
